This is a great website from the Norman Rockwell Museum page that explains the different ages of comics. And when I say ages I do not mean how old...well it does refer to age as in how old but also the different periods of comics....as in when....hmm I'll just let you decide!
The Artifice is an online magazine with a large community of writers who write about various art forms with over four million followers on Facebook alone. This is a great article about the history of comics by decades from the 1920's to 2000 and beyond. Also, there are great articles on comics, manga, anime etc. Check it out!
The DC comics website has quite a lot of information on characters, history and up to date news on what's happening in the DC world.

This is a fantastic website on how to draw comics. Freelance artist and lecturer at Victoria University, Clayton Barton, has many tips on drawing comics as well as videos. Highly recommended!
